Mike Tyson Visits A School at Dharavi in Mumbai

Former American boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson landed in Mumbai in the minute time hours of Friday on his first visit to India.

Iron Mike received a heroic welcome from his desi fans, who gathered at the Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport to welcome the boxing legend.

Fans were really happy and excited to meet Mike Tyson in his India visits one of his fan quoted “I feel happy to see Mike Tyson in person. He is my idol,”.

Mr Tyson has arrived in India to inaugurate the Kumite 1 League at the National Sports Club of India in Worli. This was the first global team Mixed Martial Arts league which ignited on 29th September 2018 starting with India and United Arab Emirates (UAE) match.

The organisers of the Kumite 1 League mentioned that it was the first time “The Baddest Man on the Planet” visited the country as the mixed team martial arts league’s mentor.

The league is supported by the All India Mixed Martial Arts Federation (AIMMAF) and Worl Kick Boxing Federation.

Founder of Kumite 1 League, Mohamedali Budhwani expressed his feelings and thought Mr Tyson can mentor the league, as the organisers wanted a legend for an endorsement of a new sport (MMA), there is no legend till now in a combat sport, after Muhammad Ali. Tyson is the only legend and was the apt pick for the K1L.

The inaugural season of the league was associated with HealthXP, India’s fastest growing online health, nutrition and dietary supplement store pledged to promote health and fitness awareness among youth of India in the league.

Mr Budhwani claimed that the league is a world cup of MMA and is being proudly initiated by India.

Ever since Mike Tyson landed in Mumbai, his only wish was to pay a visit to the slums of the city to inspire the underprivileged children, Mr Tyson had grown up in the slums of Brooklyn, New York, himself so the sole purpose was motivation for others.

Mr Tyson visits in Dharavi’s Municipal  School was purely an act of inspiring the underprivileged children, and new generation about being passionate about things you do.

Motivating the children he lit the torch of seeding combat sport by mentioning that there is no better boxer than a poor, if you can fight with your unlavish situations then you can surely succeed in a combat sport.
